Chapter 14: Hustle Hard, Hustle Harder, Hustle the Hardest

Yu Zui had a lingering doubt in her heart. Almost instinctively, she wanted to deny it. Yet, as she was typing, a possibility suddenly occurred to her. After all, with only a small following on platforms like her childhood friend Cheng Shu’s Weibo, she couldn’t possibly make any significant waves in the vast internet ocean, let alone catch the attention of popular weight loss streamers.
But unexpectedly, a fairly popular weight loss blogger had noticed her. What’s more, they were in the same city, and that blogger’s local fanbase was substantial, willing to spend generously to support her.
This customer base seemed almost too precise.
Now, this weight loss blogger was so certain they had bought promotion for her. When these related events kept happening one after another, it was hard to chalk it all up to mere coincidence.
“System, was this you?” Yu Zui asked silently in her mind.
She couldn’t think of anyone else who would do such a thing except the system.
“I just learned about some modern methods of running shops and reasonably promoted you a bit,” the system answered solemnly.
“Thank you,” Yu Zui couldn’t help but say.
So it really was the system! She had thought it was just good luck.
Oh, system, you’re truly amazing!
Not only did you give me a golden finger, but you’ve been quietly doing so much behind the scenes.
“You’re welcome.”
“Can I come to you for help with similar requests in the future?” Yu Zui asked casually.
With such an ability, not using it would be a waste!
The system was silent for a moment, then finally replied with a simple, “Hmm.”
Hearing this affirmation from the system, Yu Zui felt even happier.
She now felt more confident about making her shop profitable.
While waiting for her takeaway, she enjoyed a delicious meal and then began organizing her store.
To her surprise, she found many orders in her online shop, mostly oolong tea and fresh milk.
Yu Zui immediately thought of Qiao Yuxin’s recent live broadcast.
She promptly contacted the delivery guy.
“My online store has several orders. I see there’s an option to link with a courier for shipping. Want to collaborate?”
Yu Zui felt placing orders herself was troublesome; if it could all be handled from the backend, that would be best.
On the other side, Tang Siyuan was busy handling packages at the courier station. Seeing a message pop up, he glanced over and, upon reading Yu Zui’s message, grew excited.
Without hesitation, he replied, “Sis, choose SanSan Express. My station is the Old Street station, and the courier number is ss387858. Just select that, and I’ll handle the rest. Also, I’ve secured you a 50% discount on the current rates. Since the packages are heavy, there will be additional charges later for packaging. When your order volume grows, we can set a fixed price.”
Yu Zui thought the price was acceptable—probably a bit higher than other couriers, but SanSan Express offered home delivery, which was a big plus.
Since she was going for a premium approach, the shipping cost was worth it, especially with the possibility of negotiating prices later.
“Alright.”
“Thanks, sis. If you need, I can come by to pick up the packages soon.”

“Good.”
Once confirmed, Yu Zui selected Tang Siyuan in the backend courier options, chose the courier for printing, and linked the shipment.
After completing these steps, she began organizing the goods.
Just as she allocated the drinks for each order, a question occurred to her.
The payout from online sales tended to be slower.
If sales increased substantially, would her cash flow be tight?
Yu Zui asked the system directly.
The system was silent.
In the eras it had experienced, there was no such problem; transactions were always cash on delivery.
After a moment, the system responded.
“Online orders allow for goods to be advanced, but the payment will be automatically deducted after the funds are transferred.”
“No problem,” Yu Zui replied with relief.
This meant her online store was practically selling without upfront capital.
The system was incredibly generous!
“Do online sales count toward the sales target?” she continued.
If online sales grew, they might become the majority eventually.
She couldn’t afford to lose that sales volume.
“They do.”
Yu Zui felt reassured immediately.
With this channel, she could complete her tasks faster.
The more capital she earned, the better.
Clearly, now was the time to grab money—if she didn’t work hard, she’d be crazy.
Make money, make money, work hard to make money!

While Yu Zui busily continued her business, others were discussing her products.
“Sis, I bought Xiao Xin a few bottles of imported fresh milk. They say it boosts immunity,” Bai Jingzhu said, carrying some items from Yu’s Grocery to her sister’s house.
Living in the same neighborhood made deliveries convenient.
“Thanks,” Bai Jinglan smiled at her sister’s gift.
Then she called out to her daughter, “Xiao Xin, Auntie brought you some tasty treats.”
Xiao Xin happily came running out, hugged Bai Jingzhu tightly, then looked silently at the milk.
She drank a lot of milk and was a bit wary.
“This milk is different—really delicious,” Bai Jingzhu said, opening a bottle and handing it to Xiao Xin.
Xiao Xin indeed smelled a strong milky aroma, then took a small sip. Her eyes immediately brightened.

“Auntie, it’s so good!”
Then she gulped it down eagerly.
Seeing this, Bai Jingzhu looked at Bai Jinglan and said, “Sis, warm up the rest for Xiao Xin tomorrow and see if it works.”
“Even if it does, it takes time. No effect comes that fast!” Bai Jinglan glanced at Bai Jingzhu helplessly.
“I think this brand works quickly,” Bai Jingzhu said, pulling out a bottle of iced black tea and handing it to her sister. “Try this.”
Without much thought, Bai Jinglan opened it and took a sip. After finishing, she was surprised.
“This iced black tea is quite good. The tea leaves must be of high quality.”
“Exactly. I only bought it after trying it myself. It’s not just tasty, it’s fragrant and has special effects. You’ll feel very refreshed in a moment.”
Bai Jinglan looked at Bai Jingzhu.
Then she tried the drink.
After a short while, she immediately felt something different.
Her whole body felt very cool, with no stuffiness or sweating.
The effect was so fast?
“What other products does she have? Are they equally effective?”
“There are currently four products: iced black tea to quench thirst and regulate body temperature; oolong tea to boost metabolism and aid weight loss; milk to regulate immunity and improve sleep; and sour plum juice for hydration and digestion. But when I bought mine, the sour plum juice wasn’t available, so I got the other three.”
“Could there be any harmful additives in them?” Bai Jinglan was impressed by the effects but still a bit worried.
Bai Jingzhu paused, then said, “I don’t think so. You can taste the quality of the tea leaves. Where would you find such fast-acting additives? If they existed, they’d be selling like crazy, and they wouldn’t put them in tea!”
Tea is simply better when it tastes pure.
As for any special effect additives, if there were any, they wouldn’t be used in a single product.
“True, but I still wonder if the effects are a bit too good,” Bai Jingzhu said.
“Maybe we should test them?” Bai Jingzhu glanced over and saw Xiao Xin had already finished her milk and was still wanting more.
“No need. The milk should be fine, and it meets national testing standards. It’s even better than the fresh milk I buy,” Bai Jinglan said quickly, reasoning that if this could be faked, then all milk could be.
She was more concerned about the tea.
“I’ll get them tested to be sure, so we can drink with peace of mind,” Bai Jingzhu insisted. She had only bought the products thinking they were good without much thought.
“And each bottle costs 188 yuan!”
“That expensive?” Bai Jinglan was shocked.
“That’s why I believe the owner wouldn’t do anything shady. If there were forbidden additives, the owner would be in serious trouble!” Bai Jingzhu thought of Yu Zui’s face and felt she was trustworthy.
“Testing is a good idea, but it probably won’t be a problem. As you said, the tea leaves are of excellent quality.” Bai Jinglan, still amazed by the effects, felt much more reassured on reflection. “If everything checks out, we can become regular customers.”
“Yeah,” Bai Jingzhu nodded.
Their family was well-off, not lacking money but seeking high-quality products.
Many people in their circle were the same. As long as the product quality held up, this shop’s future would be bright!
Conversations like the one between Bai Jingzhu and Bai Jinglan were happening in many households.
