Chapter Fourteen: Arrival at the Azurefall Sect

Su Wan stepped into the cultivation chamber and immediately closed her eyes to focus, guiding the spiritual energy according to the "Sword Qi Soaring Technique." The spiritual energy raced wildly along the sword body’s meridians, soon surrounding her with a pale azure mist. Within the time it took for incense to burn halfway, her meridians swelled from the influx of energy, her entire body radiating a faint blue glow.
Inside the chamber, Xiao Yi had just taken his seat when the spirit vein beneath his meditation cushion suddenly roared to life! Flames of spiritual energy erupted from the ground, rushing through his seven orifices into his body as the "Burning Sky Fire Scripture" activated on its own. Flames leapt half a foot around Xiao Yi, his spiritual power spinning madly in his dantian.
Three months passed in the blink of an eye.
“Open for me!” Xiao Yi’s eyes snapped open, and the stone door of the seclusion chamber exploded into fragments with a thunderous crash.
“From Qi Refining stage nine to the initial Golden Core stage, leaping eleven levels in three months! And the Burning Sky Fire Scripture has been honed to mastery.” Clenching his fists, sparks flew from between his fingers, his eyes blazing fiercely.
“Burning Sky Sword Qi!” He lifted his hand, holding a golden flame that instantly transformed into a sword shadow a yard long. With a sharp “whoosh,” it slashed toward the sword testing stone.
The black iron stone, known to withstand a full-force strike from a Golden Core cultivator, was cleaved in two like paper, the cut edges sizzling with fire.
Seeing this, Xiao Yi was beside himself with joy. “This newly mastered Burning Sky Sword Qi is ten times stronger than I imagined! Even if Liu Ningxia brings defensive artifacts, I can shatter them with a single strike!”
At the same moment, in the cultivation arena, Su Wan’s eyes snapped open. As she rose, the vortex of spiritual energy around her burst with a thunderous roar, her pale blue glow intensifying. In her hand, a three-foot-long sword of spiritual energy formed, its blade shimmering with flowing light patterns.
With a casual swing, dozens of stone targets in the distance were sliced into smooth, polished fragments.
The cyclone at her dantian remained as steady as a rock, the spiritual power of Qi Refining stage nine flowing lightly through her meridians.
Gazing at the spiritual sword in her fingertips, Su Wan suddenly laughed aloud: “I’ve actually broken through to Qi Refining stage nine! My innate sword body and the 'Sword Qi Soaring Technique' have resonated.”

She gently waved the sword; the sword qi cut through the air with a soft whistle, a warm thrill rising in her heart.
In just three months, she had transformed from a mortal who couldn’t even sense spiritual energy into a cultivator able to forge a sword and cleave stone. Following her master’s guidance, it wouldn't be long before she truly became the Sword Immortal her master had spoken of!
Su Wan’s heart brimmed with anticipation.

At this moment, Ye Chentian appeared outside the cultivation chamber in a flash.
“Everyone, come out!” His voice, imbued with spiritual resonance, echoed through the chamber.
“Master!” Xiao Yi called out joyfully, excitement barely contained in his voice. He quickly stepped out of the seclusion room, striding toward Ye Chentian with eyes shining with expectation.
Su Wan also hurried out from the cultivation arena, her movements somewhat urgent yet still respectful. She bowed courteously, her voice trembling slightly, “Disciple Su Wan pays respects to Master.”
Ye Chentian smiled warmly at them, his eyes filled with pride and satisfaction. He slowly reached out, gently patting Xiao Yi’s shoulder before kindly supporting Su Wan to her feet.
“I have witnessed your progress. Xiao Yi, your strength has grown rapidly, and the power of your 'Burning Sky Sword Qi' is astonishing. Su Wan, your cultivation speed is remarkable; your innate sword body’s potential is gradually unfolding.”
Hearing their master’s praise, both Su Wan and Xiao Yi felt a surge of pride and gratitude. Their eyes flashed with excitement as they said in unison, “Thank you for your kind words, Master.”
At that moment, Xiao Yi spoke firmly, “Master, I am ready to go to the Bi Luo Sect for the appointment.”
Confidence gleamed in his eyes.

Ye Chentian nodded, his gaze filled with approval. “Very well, this time you will go to the Bi Luo Sect alone. Remember, once there, don’t hold back.”
He looked into Xiao Yi’s eyes, where the fighting spirit blazed, his voice suddenly rising with a commanding vigor that echoed through the mountain gate: “If anyone dares to cause trouble, even if you tear down their martial arena or smash their mountain gate, I will shield you! Should the Bi Luo Sect hurt you, I will ensure their entire sect perishes with them!”
A surge of blood and qi roared in Xiao Yi’s chest as he bowed deeply. “Disciple will remember Master’s teachings and will not disappoint!”
Ye Chentian then turned to Su Wan, his tone softening. “Your innate sword body has just awakened; your foundation needs to be solidified. Stay in the sect, nourish your sword body with the spiritual energy from your spirit vein, and refine the 'Sword Qi Soaring Technique' further.”
Su Wan bowed swiftly. “Disciple has noted your instructions and will not disappoint Master’s expectations!”
Although she could not accompany Xiao Yi, she silently made a decision in her heart: to train diligently within the sect and one day become a pillar of support for her master, just like her senior brother.
Several days later, Xiao Yi arrived at the gates of the Bi Luo Sect.
“Who dares trespass into the Bi Luo Sect?” Several disciples leaning against stone pillars chatting idly straightened up as he landed lightly in midair.
The lead disciple crossed his spear, its tip stopping half a foot before Xiao Yi’s chest, eyes full of disdain.
Xiao Yi spoke coldly, “Xuan Tian Sect, Xiao Yi. Here to meet Liu Ningxia for the three-month appointment.”
“Xuan Tian Sect? Xiao Yi?” The leader’s scorn instantly turned to suspicion. “Could you be the Xiao Yi who arranged the three-month appointment with Sister Liu in Wu Wei City?”
“What a joke, you actually dare challenge Sister Liu?”
He suddenly stopped, raising his voice with a hint of boasting, “Within the entire Bi Luo Sect, no one under forty has reached the initial Golden Core stage except Sister Liu! At the last sect competition, she sent three Golden Core brothers flying with a single sword strike. The elders say she’s a prodigy once in a century!”
“Better leave now before you cause trouble, or we won’t be so polite!”
Their words clearly emphasized Liu Ningxia’s status within the sect.
She was the sect’s cherished daughter, the sky’s favored one, the figure all disciples looked up to.
