Cao Yang returned to the inn, feeling somewhat unsatisfied. Lei Yu was stunning, but her physical condition was a bit lacking. He hadn’t even exerted himself fully, yet she was almost fainting; if they continued, serious trouble might arise. Reluctantly, Cao Yang called it off.

The room was empty, but the sound of running water came from the bathroom—Li Yan was taking a shower. Cao Yang’s mischievous desire flared up again, and he pushed the door open without hesitation.

“What are you doing? Get out!” Li Yan, completely naked, sprayed water at Cao Yang with the showerhead.

Knowing Li Yan was only pretending to be proper, Cao Yang chuckled, “Sister Yan, I’m here to help you wash.”

“No, get lost!” she cried playfully, yet her body showed no resistance.

……………………………………

The next morning, Cao Yang went downstairs to buy breakfast and called Li Yan to come eat, but she ignored him, looking at him with a hint of grievance.

She had finally witnessed Cao Yang’s true strength—a force no ordinary woman could endure.

“Have some,” Cao Yang said, holding a steamed bun to her lips.

“I’m not eating. You little beast, you don’t know how to cherish a lady.”

“Not true—I care about Sister Yan the most.”

“Yeah, right. Did you treat me like a human last night?”

“Well, I just got a bit carried away.”

“You need to learn to control yourself, or I’ll die because of you one day.”

“No way, no way,” Cao Yang reassured her, climbing back into bed and pulling her close. He was surprised to discover that Li Yan had had a boyfriend before and had even given her ‘first time’ to him. Looks like that sycophant A-Le didn’t get anything at all.

“I visited Lei Dian and their new place yesterday. It’s pretty spacious. Our room is too small. How about we move to a bigger one?”

“How big do you want? Isn’t this place alright? You get restless as soon as there’s a bit of money?”

“This place is too cramped; it’s inconvenient for anything. Last night, your moans could be heard throughout the entire building. If this goes on, people will definitely start complaining.”

Li Yan blushed, “Is it really that bad? I didn’t moan that much!”

“Nonsense. I went out today, and Old Man Xu gave me some weird, suggestive looks!”

“And that old woman in room 206 asked if last night’s noise was my doing. She said her husband went back to his hometown and invited me over.”

“Did you go?”

“Of course not. She’s old and ugly. Why would I be interested?”

Li Yan spoke softly, “I’ll get old someday too. Will you despise me then?”

“No, when you’re old, I’ll be old too.”

“But I’m four years older than you, and women age faster…”

“That doesn’t matter. When you’re old, I’ll find someone younger. I won’t keep tormenting you.”

“Damn you! Go to hell, you idiot!”

“Hahaha... Don’t hit me, I’m just teasing. I like seeing you angry.”

Li Yan ignored him and pinched his flesh hard.

“Stop, or I’ll fight back.”

She didn’t stop, so Cao Yang retaliated lightly. Li Yan was defenseless and immediately begged for mercy.

……

At the Pearl Nightclub, Iron Bear was entertaining guests.

Cao Yang showed him no respect, which made Iron Bear furious. If this were before, he would have sent someone to deal with the siblings immediately.

But Cao Yang was formidable; any move against him required firearms.

Besides, Iron Bear didn’t want to make trouble; he hoped Cao Yang would help him make money from boxing and didn’t want their relationship to sour.

“Director Yu, you’ve had enough to drink. If there’s something you need, just say it. If I can help, I will; if not, I’ll find a way,” said a portly, confident middle-aged man.

Iron Bear smiled, “Nothing major—just something about a small slot machine shop.”

He explained Cao Yang’s situation to the man, who listened with surprise.

“Director Yu, it’s just two punks. You need my help to deal with them?”

“You misunderstand. I’m not trying to get rid of them. I just want to put a little pressure on them, so they’ll owe me.”

The middle-aged man was puzzled but didn’t bother asking further. “Director Yu, whatever you say goes. We’ll fully cooperate!”

Iron Bear was pleased, lifting his glass in thanks.

The man laughed heartily, “Thanks? Running slot machines is illegal. I should be thanking you for reporting it!”

He downed his drink and said, “Our police force cracks down hard on vice, gambling, and drugs! Don’t you agree?”

He wasn’t asking Iron Bear but the two voluptuous hostesses beside him, fondling them as he spoke.

“Hehe… Officer Wang is right. Vice, gambling, and drugs ruin lives!”

……

Unaware that Iron Bear was already scheming, Cao Yang was out house-hunting with Li Yan.

They had planned to rent a bigger place, but after seeing the options, Cao Yang decided to buy a property instead—he had enough cash on hand.

Li Yan didn’t object; she even helped analyze the merits of a certain development.

Cao Yang wasn’t interested in pre-sale properties. He wanted something ready for immediate move-in, so they looked only at second-hand homes.

With cash in hand and paying in full, he eyed a three-bedroom unit listed at 400,000 yuan.

Without hesitation, Cao Yang bought it.

He left the purchase details to Li Yan and the agent, with the contract signed under Li Yan’s name.

Her heart fluttered—Cao Yang was putting the house in her name?

Could this mean he intended to marry her?

With this thought, Li Yan began planning their wedding, imagining how many children they would have, and pondering names for boys and girls alike.
