Volume One, Chapter 19: Even the Ice-Cold Female Director Has a Vulnerable Side

Su Jing was stunned; she had not expected this new salesman to be so audacious.

Apart from shaking hands with clients at work, she had never allowed any man to touch that hand of hers.

But she had no strength left. With no other choice, she let Zhou Yang hold her hand and knead the web between her thumb and index finger.

A sharp, fiery pain instantly spread through the area.

“Ah!”

Su Jing let out a soft moan, then hurriedly pressed her lips together, once again wearing her usual haughty, icy expression.

Zhou Yang massaged the spot for about two or three minutes before suddenly crouching down, his gaze settling on Su Jing’s beautiful legs.

“What are you doing?”

Su Jing felt violated. She stared coldly at Zhou Yang.

“President Su, haven’t you noticed? Your voice already sounds much stronger than it did before!” Zhou Yang said with a raised brow and a smile.

Su Jing had been tense earlier, but after his reminder, she realized that she did indeed feel somewhat better.

“That proves my method works!” Zhou Yang said. “Now let’s move on to the second acupoint. It’s called the Sanyin acupoint, located at the ankle.”

Still crouching, he gently drew Su Jing’s ankle toward him.

Her ankle was pale and delicate, and on the outer side of her right ankle was a tattoo—a red rose that lent her an especially alluring air.

Who would have thought President Su had such a side to her?

After locating the acupoint, Zhou Yang began massaging it lightly.

At that moment, someone knocked on the door.

“President Su!”

From the voice, it was Liu Yan, the department’s top salesman.

“What is it?” Su Jing asked.

“It’s about what I mentioned this morning concerning Zhou Yang and me,” Liu Yan replied.

Just then, Zhou Yang increased the pressure of his fingers. A wave of soreness, numbness, and swelling pain surged through Su Jing’s ankle. She hurriedly covered her mouth with her fair hand, forcing herself not to cry out.

“I’m busy right now. I’ll call you in later.”

“All right!”

Liu Yan left. Su Jing complained to Zhou Yang, “Why did you use so much force?”

She had nearly cried out just now.

“President Su, it won’t work without enough pressure. Your menstrual cramps are severe, so I have to use force for the treatment to be effective,” Zhou Yang explained.

And, to be fair, after those few motions, Su Jing truly did feel considerably better.

She could not help admitting that Zhou Yang seemed to know what he was doing.

“The third and fourth acupoints are Xuehai and Zusanli.”

As he spoke, Zhou Yang’s gaze moved upward.

Both acupoints were near the knee. Xuehai was on the inner side, while Zusanli was slightly toward the outer side.

One hand was enough to treat both.

“President Su, it’s time for the third point.”

Zhou Yang reached out, placing his thumb precisely on Zusanli and his middle finger on Xuehai before pinching and kneading them several times.

That strange sensation of soreness and numbness traveled from her legs throughout her entire body, making Su Jing shudder.

Never in her wildest dreams had she imagined that one day she would have a male subordinate massage her thighs.

“All right, I know where they are. Is there anywhere else?”

Su Jing felt much better now. At the same time, the intimate nature of the gesture made her uncomfortable, so she directly refused to let Zhou Yang continue.

“There’s one more place,” Zhou Yang said. “The final one.”

“Where is it?” Su Jing asked.

Zhou Yang pointed toward her lower abdomen. “Here.”

Su Jing’s face instantly flushed.

She could tolerate having her hands and feet massaged, and even her thighs.

But allowing Zhou Yang to rub her lower abdomen was absolutely out of the question. That was an extremely sensitive area.

“I can do this part myself.” Su Jing became stern. “What are the acupoints called?”

“The Guanyuan and Qihai acupoints,” Zhou Yang replied. “They’re the key points and must be massaged. Once they’ve been treated, ninety percent of your symptoms should disappear.”

“Fine! I’ll do it myself!”

Feeling much better now, Su Jing picked up her phone and searched for the locations of the two acupoints. She measured the positions on her lower abdomen with her slender fingers, but after trying for quite some time, she still could not determine them precisely.

With no alternative, she awkwardly beckoned to Zhou Yang, who was standing rigidly to one side.

“Um… come here.”

“Yes?”

“Show me where these two acupoints are,” Su Jing said.

Zhou Yang frowned and examined her with a serious expression. Then the pad of his finger lightly touched her abdomen.

“Here, and here.”

Su Jing’s face turned as red as the evening clouds, radiant and alluring.

“All right, I know now!”

She hurriedly sat up straight and changed the subject. “Why did you come to my office?”

“I wanted to say that the elimination system is unfair to me,” Zhou Yang replied. “I’ve only just joined the department, and I don’t understand anything yet.”

“Someone will train you. You’ll get the hang of it soon.”

Su Jing picked up the phone and called Liu Yan.

“Come to my office.”

A moment later, Liu Yan appeared in Su Jing’s office.

“Zhou Yang, let me introduce you. This is Liu Yan, the top salesman in our department,” Su Jing said.

“Hello, Zhou Yang!”

Liu Yan stepped forward with a beaming smile and shook Zhou Yang’s hand. He even bent slightly at the waist, appearing extremely humble.

Zhou Yang wanted nothing more than to slap him across the face.

What was he putting on that obsequious act for?

Su Jing said, “Our sales division has a tradition known as ‘the old teaching the new.’ After a new sales representative joins, an experienced veteran takes responsibility for training them and brings them along when meeting clients. It’s an excellent way for new salespeople to grow. Liu Yan came to see me this morning. He thinks highly of you and volunteered to train you.”

Su Jing lifted her eyes slightly toward Zhou Yang.

“So, with the department’s top salesman as your mentor, surely you aren’t lacking confidence?”

Zhou Yang’s brows knitted tightly. Inwardly, he cursed Liu Yan for being utterly devious.

How could Liu Yan possibly train him in earnest? He clearly intended to keep him under his thumb for the entire month and ruin his chances.

But Zhou Yang was not afraid.

If Liu Yan wanted to be his mentor, then let him. Once the apprentice made a mistake, the mentor would not be able to escape responsibility either.

Zhou Yang smiled faintly. “Having the department’s top salesman as my mentor is truly an honor. But if I’m eliminated this month, wouldn’t that reflect rather badly on you as my mentor?”

Liu Yan had not expected Zhou Yang to turn the tables on him. He forced a smile through clenched teeth.

“Don’t worry. I’ll make sure to train you properly.”

“Haha, then I’ll thank you in advance,” Zhou Yang said.

The day passed quickly.

After work that evening, Zhou Yang arrived at the entrance of the group headquarters. A car sped up from behind and stopped beside him.

When Zhou Yang looked over and saw Bai Lu in the driver’s seat, he opened the door and got in.

“Two choices,” Bai Lu said straightforwardly. “A: We go to a local-style restaurant near my place, and I’ll treat you. B: You come over and try my cooking.”

“B! B! B! B! B!” Zhou Yang answered repeatedly.

“Hahaha!” Bai Lu burst out laughing. “But let me make this clear first—my cooking isn’t very good!”

“To taste a meal personally prepared by Shen University’s most beautiful campus beauty is already an incredible honor. Does the flavor really matter?” Zhou Yang said with a raised brow.

“You certainly know how to flatter people. No wonder you work in sales. Come on, we’re going to my place,” Bai Lu said.

“Who else lives with you?” Zhou Yang asked.

“I live alone,” Bai Lu replied.

The car sped away into the distance.

Immediately afterward, another vehicle followed.

Inside the car behind them, Liu Yan was gnashing his teeth in fury. He took out his phone and dialed a number while driving.

“Brother Liu, bring a few of the guys. You know, the matter I told you about this morning. Yes, once it’s done, I’ll take everyone to a nightclub and we’ll have a good time. One girl for each of you!”

He hung up. A vicious glint flashed through his eyes.

“Zhou Yang, if you want to steal my woman, I’ll kill you!”
