Bai Yao touched his forehead. “Your temperature is normal, no fever.”
Fu Huai hung his head, his jaw resting on her shoulder, looking somewhat confused. The sensation in his body was strange and unfamiliar, but he did not dislike it.
Bai Yao rubbed his cheeks. “Alright. If you feel unwell, I’ll take you for a check-up tomorrow. Eat first.”
He gave a soft “oh,” and then said, “Feed me.”
Bai Yao turned away without hesitation and walked off.
She always knew that whenever he began acting up, something was bound to happen.
Fu Huai watched Bai Yao continue folding clothes, and, feeling wronged, picked up his chopsticks and shoved the rough, unsophisticated food into his mouth.
Fu Huai seemed to know Bai Yao would not cater to him in everything, so he had learned to be clever; he had brought his own daily supplies with him, all new and untouched.
Bai Yao told him to shower first.
Naturally, once Fu Huai stood in the cramped bathroom, he went on for another round of scorn toward the dormitory’s miserable conditions.
He should be living in a refined, luxurious big house, using the most expensive things, instead of living like a beggar here.
Yes, in his eyes, Bai Yao’s life now was no different from that of a beggar.
Bai Yao stood by the door and listened to his complaints, then opened it directly and handed him the towel he had forgotten.
Fu Huai stood in the steam, completely bare, and proudly displayed his body to her without the slightest embarrassment.
Bai Yao gave a half-smile. “Yes, with an environment this awful, it can’t hold someone as divine as you. I’ll send you back down the mountain tomorrow. You can go home then.”
Fu Huai lifted his face, his eyes showing a trace of patronizing pity. “If I leave, what if you truly end up begging? Yao Yao, you are a woman who goes around with the title of my girlfriend. I won’t let you go outside and make me lose face, so I’m staying.”
Bai Yao chuckled softly twice.
Fu Huai wiped the water from his hair. A corner of his eyes lifted, and he moved toward her slowly, offering his magnificent figure without stinginess, his softened voice all flirtation and invitation. “Yao Yao, help me bathe.”
Bai Yao glanced down at him. He had deliberately stood perfectly straight.
It was indeed a “great” sight.
But she turned and left the bathroom quickly. “Hurry up and finish, then come out.”
She shut the door without mercy; truly, there was not a flicker of attachment.

Fu Huai smirked in annoyance, then stood before the mirror on the wall and unashamedly showed himself off.
Whether it was complexion, shape, smoothness, even endurance, there was no doubt: every part of him was perfect. Whoever was fortunate enough to see him would be unable to rush to him in desire.
But Bai Yao seemed to be growing colder toward him.
Was it because she had done this too often and had begun to feel fed up?
Impossible.
Fu Huai looked at himself in the mirror—flawless, beyond reproach—and lifted the corners of his lips in a confident smile.
She loved him that much; she could never be sexually indifferent toward him.
After showering, he came out in loose, shapeless clothes, with not the slightest modesty. Sadly, Bai Yao didn’t glance at him once before hugging her own clothes and going to bathe again.
The mesmerizing smile that had lingered on Fu Huai’s face vanished in an instant. Angrily he kicked off his sandals and climbed onto the bed.
When Bai Yao came out of the shower, she saw him completely wrapped in the blanket, a faint blue light from a phone still leaking through it.
She pulled up a corner of the blanket; indeed, he was on his phone.
Bai Yao looked at his phone. “Where did you get money to buy such a new phone?”
Fu Huai gave her a quick glance. “From the allowance you set aside for me.”
Bai Yao: “I had no idea the little money you claim I left you could buy something so expensive.”
The latest model from Banana was no cheap thing—at least ten thousand.
Bai Yao’s expression turned serious. “Fu Huai.”
A jolt of unease stirred in him. Bai Yao rarely called him by his full name; whenever she did, it meant anger was coming.
Still gripping the phone, Fu Huai said without a trace of guilt, “When I went to the phone shop, the clerk insisted only this new Banana model suited me. I told him I didn’t have that much money. He said the store was running a promotion and, because I was the hundredth customer that day, he gave me a discount.”
Bai Yao said nothing.
Fu Huai sat up from the bed, and the blanket slid down. It turned out he had already removed his clothes and was lying naked under the quilt, waiting for Bai Yao to get into bed so he could drift closer right away.
He spoke with righteous certainty. “I paid for it. It’s not something someone else gave me. You cannot be angry, and you cannot break up with me.”
He bit his lip and said, unwillingly and resentfully, “Besides—besides the fact that you’ve bought phones before for fakes, but not for me... If someone else has something, why can’t I have it too?”

Fu Huai was jealous, as if a cat’s paw were scratching at his heart, and his expression turned ugly. “I’m your lover. I need a phone too.”
Bai Yao was a little dazed by the way he put it. What was he suddenly talking about?
Fu Huai held the phone and refused to let go, as if he feared she would make him throw it away. He kept his head down; white loose strands brushed his dark eyes, and his bright red lips pressed tighter and tighter, making him look almost like a child, no idea why he had suddenly become so moody.
Bai Yao took a deep breath. “Fine, let this one slide.”
He looked up at her.
She said, “Take care of your things. Don’t lose them again.”
Fu Huai immediately broke into a bright smile. “Okay!”
Then he pulled away all the extra blanket, and, without a shred of shame, opened himself to her—hands spread, and even his legs apart, no concealment at all.
He grinned like a lewd, lascivious fool. “Yao Yao, come and love me… mmm!”
A blanket was tossed onto him, covering him from head to toe. Darkness closed in before his eyes; only after he struggled out of it for quite a while did he look around, only to see Bai Yao already far away.
Bai Yao: “I still need to do the laundry. I don’t have time to play with you.”
Fu Huai angrily threw the phone onto the bed. The thing he had once held so precious and guarded now lay there like trash he despised.
What was so good about doing laundry?
Could it possibly be more fun than him?
Not long ago, whenever she saw him in this state, she would happily pamper him and call him Little Sweetheart.
Fu Huai did not want to play with his phone at all now. He lay on the bed, sulking. He did not know how long passed before Bai Yao climbed into bed and turned off the lights.
He had a faint hope again.
Yet he waited a long time, and Bai Yao never came to hold him.
