Chapter 144: The Day the Code Fell in Love (14)
He asked in a low voice, "May I help you?"
Bai Yao’s face regained a touch of color, and she smiled. "All right."
Shi Jiu lowered his head and kissed her lips, gently nibbling and licking before deepening the kiss. He continuously recorded her scent into his memory chips, matching his own breathing to her ragged rhythm until his own pulse of breath was just as disordered.
Just like that, he became a human being, just like her.
This planet was rainy, feeling far more humid than the air on other worlds. They had only been here for a single day, yet they had already witnessed three heavy downpours.
Bai Yao had discovered a characteristic of the black creatures moving outside: they were only exceptionally active when it rained. When the rain stopped, they would hide away and rarely reveal themselves.
Bai Yao planned to stay inside the spaceship for a month, waiting for its energy to recharge before leaving. Fortunately, the ship’s storage room was stocked with enough nutrient tablets to sustain her for a month.
Shi Jiu had established a connection with the ship’s operating system and granted Bai Yao the highest level of authority, allowing her to open any cabin within the vessel.
As she opened the door to the living quarters, she couldn't help but remark, "Your functionality is truly convenient."
Shi Jiu said shyly, "This ship’s operating system is of a low grade, which is why I was able to connect to it successfully."
Bai Yao smiled. "That’s still very impressive."
He lowered his eyes, smiling softly. At the bathroom door, he handed her the clothes he had been holding. "Yaoyao, I’ll wait for you outside."
Bai Yao took the clothes, entered the bathroom, and closed the door.
Shi Jiu stood with his back to the door. His highly advanced auditory system could filter out the sound of the water, yet he could still hear the movements of the person inside. He stood perfectly still, like a statue, without shifting an inch.
Only when he heard the sound of the door opening did he turn around, flashing a smile at her.
Bai Yao had changed into a clean green floral dress. Her damp long hair hung loose, and she seemed to be shrouded in a light mist, looking fresh and elegant.
She had only brought two sets of easy-to-carry clothes, thinking she would simply plant the seeds on the desolate star and leave. She never could have imagined so many things would happen along the way.
As she dried her hair with a towel, Bai Yao said, "You go in and wash up."
Shi Jiu picked up the clothes he had set aside, promised he would be out quickly, and walked into the bathroom.
Android bodies could accumulate dust and naturally required cleaning, though they did so much faster than humans.
When Shi Jiu emerged, dressed, he saw Bai Yao observing the black soil she had brought back from outside.
The ship was not a specialized research vessel, so equipment was limited; Bai Yao could only use the small portable instruments she had brought to analyze the soil composition.
Her hair was half-dry as she leaned over the table, staring intently at the soil inside the testing device. Various data points flickered across the screen, but it would take time for a complete result.
Someone reached out from behind to gather a lock of her long hair, gently patting the damp strands with a white towel.
Bai Yao looked up over her shoulder.
Shi Jiu’s eyes held a gentle warmth. "There is no hair dryer here. If you don't dry your hair, you might get sick."
Bai Yao didn't refuse, focusing back on her work.
Before long, the instrument produced an analysis: the soil contained organic matter that could potentially support Earth plants.
Bai Yao’s spirits lifted. She took a flower seed from a bag and carefully buried it in the black soil inside a pot.
Shi Jiu asked, "Will it sprout?"
Bai Yao placed the pot on the table next to another one that already had green leaves. She was confident. "Of course it will. It will definitely grow just as well as this one."
That was the pot she had given him earlier. The plant that had once lost its leaves now held a tiny flower bud.
The soil in the two pots was different—one was black soil from the desolate star, the other yellow soil from Earth—yet they were currently nurturing the same plant.
Bai Yao gently touched the small bud. "In a few more days, it will bloom. A white Moonstone flower—it will surely be beautiful."
He said, "Yes, it will be beautiful."
Bai Yao raised her eyes, meeting his gaze. She was looking at the flower, but Shi Jiu had been looking at her all along.
Bai Yao felt an indescribable, wondrous sensation. They had been stranded on two desolate planets in succession, facing so many dangers. Yet the flower she gave him remained, and they were still by each other’s side.
In the vast, boundless universe, every danger that could have turned them into cosmic dust had failed to separate them. This could perhaps be called a miracle.
Shi Jiu tilted his head slightly, blinking his eyes. He said innocently, "Yaoyao, your adrenaline and dopamine levels..."
Bai Yao suddenly interrupted him. "Do you have an adult mode?"
Shi Jiu’s expression faltered for a moment.
In this era, to satisfy the various needs of their owners, every android was equipped with an adult mode upon manufacture. This required a corresponding sequence code to activate.
Shi Jiu’s eyes flickered. He lowered his head and whispered a string of numbers into her ear. Then, his hands slowly wrapped around her body, and he murmured, "I have no master. My highest authority belongs only to you. Yaoyao, no matter what we do, I am capable of it."
Her hands climbed onto his shoulders. She stood on tiptoes and repeated the string of numbers in a voice only he could hear.
In the next instant, her chin was lifted, and a hurried, searing kiss descended. The hand resting on her waist slipped down, sliding inside the hem of her dress.
This was entirely different from their previous kisses.
Bai Yao was carried and placed on the sofa, her breath constantly stolen away. He was right; the hormones in her body were indeed surging, yet she felt not a hint of fear.
The moment her legs were lifted, her mind descended into chaos.
The boy’s black hair was soft; as he lowered his head, the tips of his hair seemed to brush against every part of her.
Bai Yao realized she had made a wrong decision in a moment of impulse. She felt as though she might die. This was her first experience, and it was far too stimulating.
He was too observant, too adept at analyzing her reactions and expressions to determine how to make her more comfortable—whether to increase the pressure, whether to prolong the sensation, whether to kiss her while touching her...
He mastered it all perfectly.
